Sarah Rome is a writer, theater artist, arts educator, and somatic body therapist. Born in Boston and raised on Massachusetts' North Shore, she earned her BFA in Theater Arts from Miami's New World School of the Arts, and has worked as an actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, vocal coach, and voice-over artist in Miami, New York City, and Lima, Perú, where she lived for the better part of fifteen years. In addition to her theater work and manual therapy practice in Lima, she was an Adjunct Professor of acting and dance in the School of Theater at Peru's Catholic University. Sarah's writing has appeared on Medium and she was the featured guest on an episode of Artifact, Mission-at-Tenth Inter-Arts Journal's podcast about the creative process.

After four years of pandemic-exile with her family in Portland, Oregon, Sarah is back in Perú as the Movement & Voice

Coach for a production of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard at the PUCP Cultural Center in Lima, and is thrilled to be returning to the stage after fifteen years with Miami's award-winning Zoetic Stage in their upcoming production of Selena Fillinger's POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive at the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts in January, 2025.

Sarah holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts & Writing from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and is currently working on a book about the ongoing challenges of managing the multiple chronic illnesses in her family while living between two countries, cultures, languages, and medical systems.
